What to expect at your first consultation

The initial consultation includes an in-depth assessment including questions about your:

• current health concerns
• health history
• nutrition
• lifestyle factors
• recent pathology tests
• medications

We work as a team – we discuss your concerns, health goals, and individual preferences. I am there to support and guide you.

From the information gathered I will formulate your personalised naturopathic health plan.

Your naturopathic health plan may include recommendations for a mix of the following

• Herbal supplements and/or tailored liquid herbal formula (1:1 Liquid extracts)
• Nutritional and vitamin supplements
• Diet and nutritional advice
• Lifestyle advice and relaxation techniques
• Functional and/or pathology test referrals

A copy of your naturopathic treatment plan will be emailed to you following the consultation.* Please note, hardcopy available on request.

What to bring with you to your first consultation

• Copies of recent (performed in last 12months) blood test results and other medical reports
• A list of pharmaceutical medications you take (prescription and over the counter)
• A list of natural medicine medicines you take (nutraceutical supplements / food supplements / other remedies)

Please include on your medications/supplement lists; brand names, dosages and frequency of dosages for all items.

Follow-up appointments are 20-30 minutes in duration and are an important check-in to see how things are tracking with your health and to make any required adjustments to your health plan as required.

The suggested interval for follow-ups can vary, but as a guide, these are usually scheduled at fortnightly, monthly or six-week intervals depending on your needs and the conditions being treated.

At your Follow-up appointment we will:

• Discuss how things are tracking with your treatment and recommendations 
• Adjust your treatment if required
• Address follow up questions

You will be able to pay at the time of your consultation with Cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard or American Express (EFTPOS facilities onsite).

Please note prescribed products are at an additional cost to the fee for consultation.

* We do not currently offer concessional discounts however payment plans are available on a case by case basis on request.

• Access is up 3 steps, assistance can be provided if required

• Companion/ support persons welcome

• Low fragrance/ chemical environment (*We ask that clients please avoid wearing strong perfumes or deoderants when visiting the clinic)  

• Fresh air and ventilation provided in the room

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment we require 24 hours notice.

Please note a 50% fee will be charged for all cancelled or rescheduled appointments without due notice.

We understand the need to cancel or reschedule consultations arises from time to time. We kindly ask that you respect our cancellation policy as stipulated above, this allows for the appointment time to be re-allocated to other clients in need of our services.

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE REBATES 

Changes to legislation taken effect as at 1st April 2019 cut a range of natural therapies and modalities from private health cover rebates, including Naturopathy/ Naturopathic Medicine. As a result of this implemented legislation change we are unable to offer PHI rebates on naturopathy services at this time.
